CUPE 1618 will award two scholarships in the amount of $250 each to be awarded to graduating students who are a child, grandchild, step child or a child in the legal guardianship of a Member in good standing of CUPE 1618 and who have been accepted into a post-secondary institution.
Interested students are required to complete a scholarship application form; including extracurricular activities/community involvement, a 500-1000 word essay on “The Positive and Important Role of Unions in the Workplace Today” and your Letter of Acceptance from your post-secondary institution. The deadline for applications will be May 30th of the present school year. Scholarships shall be awarded in the month of June.
Successful applicants will receive their funds upon forwarding a copy of their paid tuition receipt to the CUPE 1618 President.
